We're here to help you take the next step on your spiritual journey.

Our vision is really that simple: to help you take the next step on your spiritual journey.

Whether you're just beginning to explore questions of faith or you've been a dyed-in-the-wool Christian for a hundred years, we want toprovide a place for you to grow. Our church is wildly diverse in terms of race, ethnicity, age, socioeconomic status, education and religious background. So, wherever you come from and wherever you've been, we want you to know you are welcome here.

We pursue our church's vision through four main ministries:

Our Weekend Worship Experience is designed to help you know God through through soulful worship, sound teaching and deep relationships with others.

Our Life Groups are dedicated to helping you share your journey by building genuine and authentic community.

Our Growth Track is designed to help you discover your purpose through a four-part series of sessions that explore church membership, spiritual disciplines, spiritual gifts and service opportunities.

Our Dream Team is designed to help you make a difference through joyful and loving service to others.

We've built our church on these eight essential values in order to develop a healthy, vibrant and life-giving church.

Empowering Leadership

Leaders of vibrant and healthy churches concentrate on empowering Christians for ministry. At U-City Family Church, we want to help prepare and equip you to serve others with your unique strengths and gifts.

Gift-Based Ministry

When ordinary Christians serve in the area of their spiritual gifts, they can accomplish extraordinary things. We spend a lot of time trying to help you discover your particular strengths, so that you can experience the joy of truly making a difference in the lives of others through the gifts God has given you.

Passionate Spirituality

Vibrant and healthy churches are characterized by passionate spirituality. Passionate spirituality has nothing to do with worship styles (some churches are boisterous, others are quiet). Passionate spirituality simply means that the people in the congregation are committed to living and practicing their faith with joy and enthusiasm in all aspects of their lives.

Effective Structures

An effective structure is simply a structure that helps a church accomplish its goals. Leaders in healthy churches continually evaluate what structures are working and what structures are not. Ineffective structures are revised or replaced with improved structures.

Inspiring Worship Service

Services may target Christians or non-Christians, their style may be liturgical or free, their language may be "churchy" or "secular"–it makes no difference for the health and vitality of the congregation. What does matter is whether worshipers have truly encountered the nearness of God during the worship service.  We want our services to be a place where you can come and genuinely experience God's presence.

Holistic Small Groups

For a group to have a positive effect on its participants, the group must be holistic -- that is, a group must go beyond simply discussing Bible passages and seek to apply the scriptures to the daily lives of the group members. In these groups people can safely share personal life concerns and learn to serve others, both inside and outside the group, with their spiritual gifts.  Relationships where you can connect, care and grow together are deeply important to us.

Need-Oriented Outreach

We believe in focusing our outreach efforts on the questions and needs of the people in our community. Everywhere Jesus went, he met the immediate and physical needs of the people he encountered. By meeting their physical needs, he was then able to meet their greater spiritual needs. We want to be a church that seeks to bring real healing, life and hope to our community.

Loving Relationships

Vibrant and healthy churches are characterized by deep meaningful relationships among the people in the congregation. This means people spend time with one another outside of official church events. They eat with one another, laugh with one another, support one another through hardship, and grow together throughout their lives. We all need community, and U-City Family Church seeks to foster deep meaningful relationships for everyone who attends our church.
